A couple days ago, I was in the bedroom trying to take a nap and my wife came in to announce that we needed to look at some infant carseats. I agreed with her entirely at the time, much to my later regret. I thought it was an okay idea when she mentioned it. We had one in the place already. However it was getting older and we have another little one on the way. I have subscribed to the notion for as long as I can remember that particular things just need to be made current. They haven't been built to last perpetually. What these things are exactly is open to some debate, sure. Aside from that point, the theory works.

So, just what does it mean for something to be constructed with the expectation that it will expire? And can I truly say that this applies to infant carseats? I haven't really fully considered the particulars of whether infant carseats should be on this list or not. All I can really be sure of is that the idea of it is right. You could consider things like hats, or electronics as items that would more likely fall into this category, for example. I doubt that anyone will debate with me over those. It's simply the way that it is. New and improved versions of everything are made and you just want to get them. If they made things that better withstood the test of time, it would really make me happy. They have got to be able to do that. If this were the case, there would only be money to be earned on the first sale though.
My way isn't for everyone. Some people do prefer to look for new items. Like my wife. She likes to go after items as if she were a hunter on safari. Keeping it simple isn't good enough for her. She has to browse several different shops for anything that she wants, stalking the item till she's ready to go in for the kill. In fact, I might have brought up that she might as well be the one to go searching for infant carseats, since she enjoys it so much. But, nothing doing. She wants me to do it. I don't know. Maybe searching for infant carseats isn't a fun adventure to her for some reason.
I don't see how anyone in their right mind can delight in shopping. And there's why I have come to really wish I hadn't said that we should go ahead and purchase something new. I was flim-flamed, I tell you! Find the resident moron. Have the trusting dolt agree with whatever you say, then make him go follow through on it. Those sorts of tactics are just not necessary!
I'm trapped now though. I have to chalk that up to living and learning. I won't make the unfortunate decision to agree with her again. Let's see how much she loves that! She got me good this trip. I'll find infant carseats for her, whether it needs to be done this instant or not. The experience will just help me not ever to forget.
